HOST/HOSTESS 


**Candidate(s) must be available at least three shifts per week - minimum one shift Saturday/Sunday**


We are open seven days a week. 

Tuesday-Friday 6:30am-9:00pm

Saturday-Monday 6:30am-3:00pm

Its signature lively atmosphere makes JavaVino a versatile setting for an after work bite, drinks on the town, a birthday bash, a working lunch, a boozy brunch, or an I-don’t-want-to-cook-tonight night.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing coffee following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks such as expresso, cappuccino, and lattes. 
  • Replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment, maintaining supplies.
  • Uphold company food safety, food handling and sanitation requirements, to ensure the health and safety of our guests and team members.
  • Keep equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting, and performing or calling for necessary maintenance.
  • Greet all JavaVino guests by being attentive to them as soon as they walk through the door.
  • Create a welcome environment for guests, when appropriate refer to guests by their names.
  • Say yes! Always try to find ways to accommodate a request.
  • Guide guests to their tables with menus.
  • Manage the floor plan and pay special attention to reservations and ensure they are seated in a timely manner.
  • Clean, organize, and stock menus at host area. 
  • Answer phone and answer questions concerning the menu and the restaurant.
  • Observer the entire dining experience ensuring that every moment at the exceeds expectations

  • Previous barista, host or food service experience in a full-service restaurant a plus.

  • You have previous hosting experience.
